Congratulations New Parent! Becoming a parent is a unique, rewarding and challenging job with joys and emotions beyond compare. Becoming a parent of a child with special needs is all this and more. At times we may become overwhelmed and continually challenged. These “special” children do remarkably well and the experiences with our children have opened new doors and put us in contact with countless wonderful people and experiences. Our organization is mostly a volunteer organization run by parents, with our goal to provide support and education to parents of children with Spina Bifida. We also support a variety of groups (educational, support, sporting) for children with Spina Bifida. We have a loan closet of equipment and many resources available “on loan”. As parents of a new baby, we welcome your family to our organization, and our local chapter would like to give you a 1-year membership to our chapter and the national association, free of charge. For information about activating your membership, please complete the information below, and we will contact you We would also like you to have a copy of Children with Spina Bifida: A Parent’s Guide. It has been a helpful resource for us and we hope that it will be the same for you. We will mail this to you when we receive your membership information. Please know that we are here for
you. Feel free to contact us at anytime.
